THE
debut album from fresh, young vocalist, Manga has made a big splash on
the music scene. Entitled Evolution, this superb eight track album has
been produced by music virtuoso Pala Uppal.
In recent times, Pala has worked his musical charm on productions for
artists like Surinder Shinda, Kuldip Ghuman and even Yamla Jatt.
His partnership with Manga has indeed worked well. Forging strong links
with Western musical influences like RnB, hip-hop and of course garage,
Pala has moulded and sculpted a sound that provide a near perfect music
backdrop for Manga’s dynamic vocals.
So who is this guy called Manga?
Hailing from the sleepy village of Rurkakalan, which is mere stones’
throw away from Goraya in Punjab, Manga made his way over to the UK several
years ago to seek his fortunes in the thriving British Bhangra scene.
Describing his sound as “traditional fused with the contemporary
modern”, Manga is keen to appeal to a broad audience. Take a listen
and judge for yourselves, whether or not the two polar opposites really
do work together. We guarantee that you will be pleasantly surprised …
